Sounds that you hear?

what causes or is the sound that you hear that goes like "chi or alarm beep.....please don't say that it is an alarm beep?

I think you're hearing what people record as EVPs. You may be more sensitive to ghost audio than most people, except the ghosts are talking really fast so it sounds like an alarm beep.

I wouldn't say it was an alarm clock.  I think that you are a sensitive as that is what I am and we just hear spirits trying to communicate with ones who have gift to hear these things.  I have an awesome recording of a spirit trying to communicate with anyone who can also hear it on this tape.  I have other EVPS that I have gotten on the tape recorder.  When you can hear these types of noises, don't be afraid of them as they cannot hurt you.  Just accept that you have some gifts and you just need to learn how to use them.  Don't let anyone tell you that you are just hearing things or that your crazy or anything rude.  Just let it go as there are just jerks out in the world who like to try and be clowns and they end up sounding so stupid. You can choose to learn your gifts like they are to be used for the good of others or you will choose not to.  When it comes down to it the ball is in your court.

Tinnitus can indeed cause such things; but so can a sensitivity to higher frequency sound...could be one or the other or both.

I would need more of a reference point; is it more like a fluctuating ringing that you're hearing or a sharp, quick pitch? Something different?

to me its an wake up call for a signal or warning in your life and to beaware.
