Sourav Ganguly comes out in defense of IPL

Many cricket analysts outside India are of the opinion that the IPL is hurting International cricket because a number of high profile cricketers have started to prefer their respective franchises over representing their country.
However, Ganguly has a different opinion because he thinks that the IPL is now an integral part of cricket at the highest level. He feels that the IPL has given financial stability to a number of domestic and international cricketers.

Ganguly said, "How can you ignore IPL? The country always comes first but you cannot ignore IPL. Players are human beings. Every series is going to take toll on players. They need rest and some tours will be missed."
