Sourav Ganguly concerned regarding Yuvraj Singh's fitness – Cricket News Update

Singh, who won a battle with a rare germ cell cancer, got a nod from the selection committee for the upcoming mega event.
However, the controversial decision has sparked a debate in India, where many believe that perhaps the board has made a mistake by naming Singh without actually evaluating his fitness level.
Expressing his apprehension on Singh’s condition, Ganguly said, “I am a bit surprised. I just wish he physically stays well because you know he has come out of a...what can I say, a big disappointment.”
“He has recovered, which is the best thing that can happen, but it has not been a long time and I wish and pray he sustains," he added.
The major concern of the former left-handed opener was the fact that Singh might not be able to play the whole tournament.
Meanwhile, Rajeev Shukla defended the selection of the flamboyant all-rounder and said, “It is a very courageous effort on part of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yuvraj-Singh-c98364 and everybody should welcome it. It would lift the morale of other players in the team.”
Singh was outstanding for team India in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Cup 2011, where India lifted the mega event for the second time in their cricketing history. And Singh was the Player of the tournament, where he outclassed the rest of the players by giving an all-round performance.
However, right after the World Cup, he was diagnosed with cancer and recommended by doctors to get immediate treatment before the spread of the disease in other parts of the body.
According to reports, his treatment was highly successful and the player has now recovered without any complications.
Singh without wasting time, returned to India from the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Usa-c759 and began his training in the national academy.
However, he has not played in any tournament and would now be going into the T20I championship without match practice.
Nonetheless, officials in the Board of Control for Cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 (BCCI) believe his presence in the dressing room will encourage the players to give their best against the rest of the world.
