Sourav Ganguly dismisses MS Dhoni’s claims - Cricket News Update
Former Indian captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sourav-Chandidas-Ganguly-c90746, has dismissed Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s claim that the busy schedule of the Indian team led to their downfall in the Test series against England. Ganguly feels that it is the job of a professional cricketer
to perform regularly at the highest stage of the game.
England defeated India in the first two matches of the series, at Lord's and Trent Bridge, and the margin of victory in both the matches was massive, forcing the supporters of the Indian cricket team to criticize their players.
Ganguly said that the four-match series between the two countries is extremely important and the Indian team should have been prepared for this much awaited encounter.
"I'm too fed up hearing this ‘time to recover’ [excuse] - don't play for India then, you know this is what it is, you have to come back and play a Test series," stated Ganguly.
India is currently the number one ranked Test team of the world, but their crown looks to be in huge danger, as a victory margin of two or more Test matches in the series will make sure that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 replaces India as the best Test team
of the world.
Majority of the cricket analysts in the world were expecting this series to be one of the best in the recent times, but unfortunately for the cricket fans, it has turned out to be an anti-climax as India has so far failed to give a competition
to the home team.
Ganguly said that the present series is going to decide the best team of the world and it was a great chance for the senior players of the Indian team to make a name for themselves, but the seniors have failed to do so.
“It was an important Test series, it was a marquee Test series to decide who was the No. 1 Test side in the world and you cannot say that. You are 28, 29, 30, you won't get to play for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 all your life. Make the most when you get it,
once it goes, you won't get it back, even how much you want it," said Ganguly.
