http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sourav-Chandidas-Ganguly-c90746 mourns over Team India’s demise – Cricket News Update
Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian skipper, has expressed deep sorrow and disappointment over the abrupt demise of Team http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 and claims that the players seem to be so helpless and off-tracked for the first time in thelast ten years. However, he still hopes
that the Indians will soon resurge at the International state, giving their best.
Ganguly believes that the team possess immense talent which is to be polished by the new coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Duncan-Andrew-Gwynne-Fletcher-c54742, and the Indians will start a new era of success very soon.
He has admitted that the criticism on the team is right as they have not been able to perform confidently against the mighty English.
Talking to the media today, Ganguly said, “I agree (with the criticism), and let us accept we were very ordinary. The worst day was Thursday (second day of the match where India could take only three wickets for 372 runs from 90 overs). I have not seen an
Indian team like this in the last 10 years.”
He further told, “This is the first series we have done poorly, home or away, for the last seven or eight years. It is just one of those series that haven't gone well for India.”
There is no denying the fact that the tourists have been badly outplayed by the hosts in all three departments i.e. bowling, fielding and batting.
Team http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 won the opening match by 196 runs and went on to claim the 2nd Test with a huge margin of 319 runs.
Now, the 3rd and decisive game is underway at Edgbaston, Birmingham. This match is destined to decide India’s future in the world Test rankings as defeat will topple them from the top slot and place England there.
Today is the Day 4 of the Test and the Indian batsmen are struggling hard against the English pacers to keep their heads high as they are set to meet a mammoth target.
This seems to be very difficult time on the Indian cricket which is rapidly sliding from boom to doom and the next two days may deprive the Blue shirts from the biggest honour of their history.
