Former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly, has stated that it is not going to be a piece of cake for India to beat the English side in England.
He rated England as a World class team in their home conditions, and termed India as one the best teams in the world.
“England have done well, England are doing well, but it’s going to be a series between two top teams and both of them have to be at their best if they want to win the series.” Ganguly expressed.
“England, in England, will be good, will be hard. Their bowling attack looks all right with Broad, Tremlett and Anderson. It’s going to be a good series.” He added.
The left-handed batsman, who recently represented Pune http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 in the ongoing series.
“India is dominating the West Indies but we know they are not the best team in the world and India is the number one Test team in the world,” the former skipper stated
Meanwhile, Ganguly recalled the memories of India’s victory against the English team in England, in 2007.
“We toured England in 2007... I was a part of the tour, an important member of the side, and we won the series. We were the only side which beat England (in England) other than http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 in the last 20 years,” the 38-year old batsman quoted.
However, he believes that past victories have nothing to do with the upcoming matches and Indian players have to prepare themselves accordingly.
In the mean time, the Calcutta born, former opening batman called test cricket as a real test for the players.
