I found the toilet bowl is leaking water it along the water

bowl on the floor. Firstly I switch off the water source

and then I mop the floor so make sure it has already

dry. After a few minutes the toilet bowl is still leaking.

It causes the damage of the toilet bowll. Is it correct ?

Thus i need to change the new toilet bowl. if so

Is there any precaution foe me to do so. I mean

I shuld pay more attention the step of installaion

such as the waste pipe which collects the toilet

bowl as well.. thanks a lot.

  1. hire a plumber

  2. maybe wax seal is bad or may have leak some where else, put some dark food coloring in tank and look for leak. Also feel bottom of bolts holding tank to bowl and feel water supply line from valve to where it attaches to tank

  3. It sounds like the wax seal needs to be replaced. It is pretty easy to do. Get a new seal from a hardware store. Then, with the water turned off, lift the bowl up off of the old seal and clean it up. Follow directions on putting the new seal down. It is made of wax so it will mold itself to the hole in the floor.
