-A normal day for me consists of an early workout, then heading to an eight-hour day of work, and then home to hang out with friends and family.

  1. Bananas are fantastic for an energy boost without caffeine.

  2. eat a lot of nuts and berries which gives you tons of energy. Ginseng is very good to take for boosting energy.

  3. Snacking on nuts and fruit throughout the day does help, as does cutting down on fatty foods, refined sugar, white flour, meats, dairy, and fried foods, of course, but above and beyond that, try...

Maca (This is a South American root that grows at high altitudes.  The Incans used it to help with endurance.)  I mix it with a little cacao and hemp milk and drink up in the morning or whenever I feel tired.  It's quite a boost, and very good for you as far as minerals and fatty acids go.

You can find it at a health food store with a well-stocked bulk herb section, or online.

I also drink yerba mate when I'm up early, but that is, of course, caffeinated.  It has fewer of the bad caffeine effects for me, even though it has more caffeine than, say, green tea.  I like it brewed with mint or cinnamon.

Ginseng and b12 drops might help too.

  4. Of course, you'll want to stay away from sugar or syrup because you'll crash shortly after.

The most popular natural energy boosters that are beneficial are B-12, Royal Jelly (and other bee-based products), L-Carnitine, Ribose, and Ginseng.

  5. Check out this site. There is a lot of good info.
