Question:

Sources for Huckabee on Sarah Palin?

Mike Huckabee said that Palin "got more votes running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska than Joe Biden got running for president of the United States."

But if you do the math, in her first election Palin received 616 votes (1996 mayoral election) and 909 (for re-election). Total: 1,525. In the one presidential race Biden dropped out after receiving 76,165 votes in 23 states and Washington, DC.

That seems to be about fifty times more than Sarah.

If I am doing the math correctly, what numbers was Huckabee referring to?

  1. Karl Rove thinks that Wasilla is the second largest city in the state of Alaska.  I'm sure he thought he was right.  I loved his appearance on the Jon Stewart show last night.  Stewart asked him if the Republicans were the ones that the Republicans wanted to throw out.  All Huckabee could do was smile.  OOPS!

  2. The numbers provided by the voices in his head.

  3. It's called a joke. Get over it already.

  4. Keep reading and researching and find even better things said-Like Palin's stand on earmarks which she says she is against and she may say she would stand up to the big guys in Washington but it sounds like she is right in the middle of the pack.
