South Africa's Lonwabo Tsotsobe keen to avoid comparisons to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Makhaya-Ntini-c73953
Lonwabo Tsotsobe, the South African left-arm swing bowler, said that he wants to avoid the comparison with the Proteas' iconic cricketer, Makhaya Ntini.
“I’ve tried to stop people from saying that I’m filling his shoes,” Tsotsobe stated to the media.
The 26-year-old explained that his bowling style is different than Ntini’s as he tries to change his actions.
“I try to use as much variation as possible,” he said.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757’s most economical bowler said that Ntini’s contributions to the South African cricket circuit will be long remembered. The left-arm pace bowler paid huge tributes to the Proteas' greatest black cricketer.
He said that Ntini played a role in his “success” when he used to be a part of a franchise team of the domestic circuit that Ntini used to lead.
Makhaya braced himself for his last international appearance during a Twenty20 match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 in January 2011. He announced his retirement from international cricket in 2010 after he was snubbed by the selectors for the national Test squad and the One
Day squad.
But Tsotsobe added that Ntini is an inspiration for the entire African community.
However, Tsotsobe added that he cannot reprise the same role that Ntini did during South Africa’s attempt to win the World Cup for the first time. But he hopes to perform for the country in the tournament that is all set to commence from the 19th of
February, 2011 in the Subcontinent.
Tsotsobe has so far appeared in 19 One Day matches and has taken 36 wickets at an average of 19.91.
He admitted that his role models had been Pakistani left-arm legendary pace-bowler http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zaheer-Khan-c98452.
Tsotsobe conceded that he tries to watch and learn from Khan’s bowling attacks and try to imitate the same pace.
“...the type of bowling he (Zaheer) does, I’ll try to do the same thing,” Tsotsobe stated.
South Africa will begin their World Cup preparations on the 12th of February by playing a warm-up match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 on the 15th of February for another warm-up game at Bangalore.
