South Africa A beat Bangladesh A by six wickets – Unofficial ODI No.4
South Africa A won their fourth Unofficial One Day International (ODI) against Bangladesh A by six wickets, they now lead the five match series 2-1.
The fourth match of the series match was played at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom on 27th April, 2011.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 A won the first ODI played on 19th April by six wickets, South Africa A came back by grabbing the second ODI by 56 runs on 21st April, the third ODI was washed out on 23rd April.
South Africa A won the toss and put Bangladesh A into bat, they got immediate rewards when they clinched the first wicket for just four runs. Their bowlers were unplayable and they got three early wickets for 34 runs.
Saghir Hossain and Captain Mohammad Ashraful gave some resistance by adding 27 runs for the fourth wicket before Ashraful was gone for 10 runs.
Saghir followed him after scoring 27 runs and the sixth wicket of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nasir-Hossain-c78748 settled down and played some positive cricket.
The pair demonstrated attacking cricket and dispatched 103 runs for the seventh wicket, which was the supreme partnership of the innings from them. Nadif was unluckily run out on 64 runs off 75 balls aided with one six and six fours.
Nasir followed him in an attempt to accelerate the scoring and lost his wicket after contributing 66 runs off 60 balls assisted with 11 fours. Bangladesh A could manage 218 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allocated quota of 50 overs.

Proteas A came out with a positive response and put up a first wicket stand of 44 runs but lost the next two wickets quickly for a total of 74 runs. Elgar and Imraan Khan took charge of the situation by posting 78 runs partnership for the fourth wicket and
consolidated their team’s position through responsible batting.
Elgar was the fourth batsman to depart after scoring 41 runs when the total touched the 152 marks. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Vaughn-van-Jaarsveld-c2749 joined in with Imraan to put on a solid partnership of an unbeaten 69 runs and took the match away from Bangladesh A, who used eight bowlers
in the process to dislodge the partnership.
The target was achieved on the fourth ball of the 44th over when South Africa A registered 221 runs on the board, Imraan and Jaarsveld remained unbeaten on 58 and 42 respectively.
Farhad Reza was the highest wicket taker from Bangladesh A by securing two wickets, Sunny and Noor Hossain claimed one wicket each.
