South Africa A v Sri Lanka A - Tri-Series - 4th Match – http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 A win by 7 wickets – Live Score and Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 A 245/7 (50 ov) v South Africa A 248/3 (46.0 ov) - South Africa A won by 7 wickets (with 24 balls remaining)
On Tuesday, South Africa A maintained their untainted record in the ongoing tri-series against Sri Lanka A and hosts http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 A, as they beat the Lankans by seven wickets in the fourth match of the tournament, played at Harare Sports Club, on July 17.
Sri Lanka, who had batted first on winning the toss, bolstered a phenomenal total of 245 runs and were looking in a strong position to defend the total.
However, they had no idea what was about to come as South Africa were in no mood to lose this run chase ahead of them.
From South Africa, RE Levi and D Elgar came out to launch the daunting chase towards the required target of 248 runs to win the match.
However, this partnership failed to bolster a big total as Sri Lankan striker, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/N-Pradeep-c78321, nabbed the wicket of Elgar, who fell after scoring an innings of five runs, leaving his side standing on a total of 18 runs on the board.
This was a great start for the Sri Lankans, putting enormous pressure on the South Africans to rise to the occasion.
It was then the phenomenal batting coordination between Levi and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CA-Ingram-c1208 that messed Sri Lanka pretty bad as they forged a match winning partnership, taking the score to 73 runs, before the demise of Ingram, who hit the showers after bolstering a knock of 27 runs off 25 deliveries.
This brought skipper, F du Plessis, in the middle and added more miseries to the Sri Lankans as the South African captain batted stupendously alongside Levi.
The two batsmen completely ripped apart the Sri Lankan bowling attack and put their team in control, taking the score to 126 runs, after which it was time for Levi to walk off the field as he lost his wicket after scoring an innings of 63 runs.
du Plessis and RR Hendricks then stood unbeaten on knocks of 89 and 51 to win their team the match in 46 overs.
