Eastern Province won their CSA Provincial T20 Challenge against KwaZulu-Natal by five wickets and 13 balls remaining at St George's Park, Port Elizabeth on January 08, 2012.
After winning the toss, KwaZulu-Natal chose to bat first in a bid to post a daunting total against their rivals to secure a win in the competition.
However, they had a disastrous start to their innings as they lost their first wicket with only eight runs on the board. Opener http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bradley-Barnes-c1188 was the first causality of the day as he found his way back to the pavilion without scoring a run.
With 10 runs on the board, it was time for the batting side to suffer their second loss as 22-year-old left-hand opener, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Cameron-Delport-c1214, perished after scoring only six runs.
A run later, KwaZulu-Natal lost their third wicket when skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khayelihle-Zondo-c1790 fell after scoring only one run.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Cody-Chetty-c51372 then brought some stability in the centre as the batsmen desperately tried to forge a daunting partnership in a bid to subdue the rampant fielding side.
Nonetheless, Chetty departed after scoring seven runs as the side had managed to post 25 runs on the board at the time of his wicket.
Later, KwaZulu-Natal lower-batting line-up perished without giving the fielding side a tough competition.
It was due to the strong nerved innings by Hulett (26) and Gareth Roderick (32) that helped the side amass 99 runs in 20 overs.

KwaZulu-Natal, bowlers made further inroads as Eastern Province lost two more wickets by the time they posted 28 runs on the board.
However, opener David White (43) and middle-order batsman James Price (34) played a vital role in helping their side win the match by amassing 103 runs for the loss of five wickets.
