In a CSA Provincial Three-Day Challenge match at the Schoemans Field, East London, Border was trailing by 154 runs with seven first innings wickets in hand against Eastern Provinces at stumps on day two, on November 11, 2011.
Eastern Provinces won the toss and elected to bat first on a classic batting track. Initially, it did not turn out to be the right decision as they had lost four of their top order wickets for a mere 110 runs. However, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Aldre-Nel-c43068 and Simon
Harmer consolidated the position of their team and helped the Eastern Provinces post 310 runs on the board for the loss of seven wickets before declaring the innings.
Harmer scored an unbeaten hundred and was the star of the show for the Eastern Provinces. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yanda-Pangabantu-c98206 picked up four crucial scalps for Border.
In reply, Border was in trouble initially as they lost their top three wickets for only 41 runs, before opening batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bevan-Bennett-c1150, came to his own and blasted a magnificent ton and remained unbeaten by the close of play to seize the
advantage.
Test fast bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Monde-Zondeki-c77647, picked up a couple of wickets for the Eastern Provinces.
Whereas, at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom, Northerns were leading by 249 runs with eight second innings wickets remaining at the close of play on day two against North West.
On a green top, North West won the toss and elected to field first. Northerns were bowled out for a mere 155 runs in their first innings, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Brett-Jonathan-Pelser-c48417 picking up a five wicket haul. In reply, North West scored 199 runs and took a

runs not out and looks all set for plenty more on the third day of the match.
