Question:

South Africa are getting slagged off for taking a "B" team to Australia and New Zealand?

Surely this is just part of the "blooding" process for some of the younger, less experienced players which is good for the game in the longer term?

  1. Yes it was part of Jake White's plan before the tri nations to give all his possible WC players a chance to compete at the highest level. This team also go branded the "B" team not by themselves, but by the Ozzie's who are winging as usual. The Ozzie's left out Larkham and Eales for a lot of matches before the 2003 to save them for the WC. The NZ team also "rested" half of the All Black team in this years super 14. Now  NZ and OZ have the nerve to complain about SA about playing other players in the remainder of the Tri-nations. Most of the players that SA can't put on the field this week are already injured and would not have been able to play anyway. The WC is less than 3 months away and it would totally stupid to throw it all away now on the Tri-nations by playing injured and tired players. The Ozzie's can afford to give the Tri-nations all they have, because they did not feature in the Super 14 and their players should not be tired. The NZ and OZ rugby bosses should get of their high horses and start playing the game and not the player. I just hope the SA "B" team beats these loud mouths to prove themselves more worthy even though they are.

  2. Unlike the muppet who wrote the first answer I agree with both the other two people.

Jake White is resting "tired" players and having to allow for injuries. It isn't his first choice Springbok Squad and I guess if I had bought my ticket in Oz to see them play I would be a little bit peeved that I wasn't getting to see the full strength Bokke. It is however a young, exciting side who will give Australia a run for their money.

I really hope they win and shut the "Whinging" Aussies up!

Have you noticed they seem to have taken the mantle from the English for whinging about stuff and also taken another leaf of out the English book by included plenty of "Grandads" in their side!

"Light the blue touch paper and stand well back!"

I support two teams: South Africa and however is playing Australia!

  3. if u wrote in english people would maybe understand your question!

  4. Unlike the fool at the top, I understand perfectly.

I don't see why not. After all, the youngsters have to get used to the top level of rugby sooner rather than later.

Maybe they'll find a few gems who can make the squad for the World Cup. After all, that's when it REALLY counts.

And somehow, I think that SA couldn't care less about other people slagging them off. After all, they're not the ones playing the game.
