South Africa continue poor form at Durban
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 has won the second match of the three Test series against South Africa by 87 runs to level the series at 1-1. The third and final Test will be played at Cape Town from 2 January.
South Africa were dismissed for 215 in their second innings chasing a target of 302. The South Africans may consider themselves a bit unlucky, as a few key decisions went against them which caused them to lose the match. AB Devilliers and Mark Boucher were
both given out leg-before-wicket by the umpires, but replays suggested that the ball would have missed the stumps.
Until lunch the South African team was struggling after they had lost seven wickets, but they kept their hopes alive while Ashwell Prince was at the crease. South Africa started the day on 111 for three with Jacques Kallis and Devilliers batting, but the
team lost a few quick wickets which put them on the back foot.
From 123 for two, South Africa slumped to 155 for seven at one stage. Paul Harris was the first man to be dismissed after lunch. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Morne-Morkel-c77722 then joined Prince and took the score to 215. The 30-run partnership gave the South Africans some hope, but Morkel
got out and Lonwabo Tsotsobe followed him soon after. The South African batsmen got starts but none of the player was able to capitalise on them. Prince top scored with 39 and remained unbeaten. While Smith and Devilliers scored 37 and 33 respectively.
Zaheer Khan and Sreesanth were the top wicket takers. Both bowlers grabbed three wickets each, while Harbhajan Singh also chipped in with two wickets. The South Africans will be disappointed with the result but they will be hoping to win the last match and
claim the series. After a strong performance in the first match, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 was unable to keep the momentum with them.
On the other hand, the Indians will be very happy with the comeback they have made. They have won their last match of 2010 and will be looking forward to a very good start in 2011.
