The most experienced batsman in the Dutch line-up, Bas Zuiderent then joined Barresi at the crease. The pair put together a steady partnership of 35 runs for the third wicket, but they weren’t able to carry on with their good work.
Zuiderent was dismissed after adding 15 runs to the total, and was soon followed by Barresi. The wicketkeeper batsman played well for his 44 off 66 balls. He was the innings top scorer for his team, but would have liked to get a big score for his team.
There were high hopes from Ryan ten Doeschate, who scored a brilliant century against England in his first match of the tournament. However, the promising player didn’t impress on this occasion. He was out after scoring 11 runs from 21 balls.
After a good start, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Netherlands-c753 team was dismissed in the 35th over of their innings. They were 81 for two at one stage, and then lost eight wickets for just 39 runs.
