The match, however, came to an unexpected end as rain prevented India from chasing a target of 220 runs to win the match and with only 7.5 overs bowled, and 71 runs on the board by the Indians, the match had to be stopped.

In this match, India once again exhibited vulnerability in their bowling department and an urge to induct quality bowlers in the squad as the current bowling outfit seems unfit to handle any batting line-up causing India to receive a hammering from a number of teams in recent months.
