Sri Lanka finished the first session of day one, of the 2nd Test match against South Africa on 112 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. They Boxing Day Test match started today at Kingsmead Durban.

the Proteas.

Both Jayawardene and Samaraweera batted till the end of the session, and their respective individual scores were 27 and 17 runs. The Sri Lankans scored at a healthy run rate of 4.00 runs per over for the session and ended the first session on 112 in 28 overs.
