South Africa v Sri Lanka: Proteas win 3rd ODI by Duckworth Lewis method, clinching the series – Cricket News Update

The third match of the series, played at Chevrolet Park, Bloemfontein, saw the hosts win by four runs to clinch the series. Rain played its part in the outcome of the match and the winner was decided through the Duckworth Lewis
method.
South Africans were 179 for the loss of five wickets, trailing by 88 runs at end of the 34th over, when heavy showers brought early closure of the game. Unfortunately, for the Lankans, the Proteas were four runs clear
of the par score required according to the Duckworth-Lewis method.

pride for his side.
Lamenting the loss, Dilshan said, “Disappointed with the way match has finished. Lasith (Malinga) had 5 overs left so we thought we could win this game. Our batsmen couldn't convert the starts, so hope to do that in the next match.
Now we have lost the series but we want to come back and make it 2-3. Looking forward to play better cricket in the next 2 games.”
