South Africa versus India; recap of the second day of the second Test match
Team India is on a tough tour against South Africa. With the dominance shown by South Africa in the first Test match and the first day of second Test match, the encounter between the two teams looked one sided. In the first session of the second Test match
things changed. The first day ended with Team India scoring 183 runs, at the expense of six wickets in 56 overs of possible play. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dale-c52110 Steyn started the second day by bowling fast and swinging the ball both ways. Team India added only seven runs before the
first wicket of the day fell when Harbhajan Singh was dismissed. Harbhajan Singh showed form with the bat in the last series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 in India, however he could not prove his batting skills in South Africa. He was caught brilliantly in the slips
as AB de Villiers dived towards his right to pouch a catch off the bowling of Steyn.
Zaheer Khan walked in and after facing five balls, scored nothing and walked out. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Morne-Morkel-c77722 proved too fast for Zaheer Khan, as he nicked to the keeper Boucher. Soon after Zaheer Khan it was the captain, MS Dhoni to get dismissed. It was the sixth wicket
for Steyn as he removed the set http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028. Dhoni stood in his crease and whipped his bat to a length ball outside the off stump. He was aiming for covers but he sliced the ball up in the air and was easily nestled by Alviro Petersen, few steps inside the boundary.
Sreesanth arrived to the crease and with the memories of a sixer against Andre Nel in his mind, he smashed the ball but it popped up in the air and the keeper took a comfortable catch. Team http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 got all out after scoring 205 runs in their first innings.
South Africa started their innings with Petersen and Graeme Smith. Zaheer Khan recovered after his injury and bowled fast, swinging it both ways. Smith played a couple of silky shots before he was caught behind by MS Dhoni. It was an almost unplayable delivery
by Zaheer Khan that caused his dismissal. He could have done better but the ball shaped perfectly and took the edge of his bat. In his supreme form, Hashim Amla walked in and played some classic back foot signature shots. Petersen was flowing before he was
unluckily bowled behind his legs. He shuffled across towards the middle and the off stump and the ball by Zaheer Khan flapped his pad before hitting the leg stump.
Man of the match in the last game, Jacques Kallis walked to bat when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ishant-Sharma-c64566 bowled to Amla, who played a perfect straight shot. The lanky bowler bent in time, as the ball brushed his hands and hit
the wicket at the non strikers end. Kallis was short of his crease, as Ishant knew immediately that they have plucked a big wicket. The decision was made by the third umpire who reviewed it and judged him out. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AB-de-Villiers-c887 replaced Kallis and was dismissed
by Sreesanth. The ball was pitched in the corridor of uncertainty and he was uncertain on that shot. The ball took the edge and was safely caught behind the stumps by MS Dhoni.
