Indian ended day 2 at Durban with a slight edge over http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 started the day at 186 for
the loss of 6 wickets in their first innings. They were rolled over for 205 runs with VVs Laxman being the top scorer with 38 runs.
South Africa did not fare much better in their first innings and were knocked over by the Indian attack for just 131. Harbhajan Singh was the tormentor in Chief with 4 wickets. With a significant lead of 74 runs from the first innings, India started their
2nd innings on the front foot. However, the Proteas’ potent seam attack once again made good use of the grass left on the pitch. Apart from Virendar Sehwag none of the top 4 even managed to get into double figures. At the close of play, India were
4 wickets down and leading South Africa by 186 runs.
The first day of the match was delayed due to rain and only 56 overs were bowled. India resumed their innings on the 2nd day with captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028, and Harbhajan Singh. The first wicket in the morning session fell with the addition of just 4
runs.  It was another 5 wicket haul for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dale-c52110 Styen. Zaheer Khan came and left quickly as well. Dhoni was left all on his own and he tried to use the long handle; the approach did not last long and he was dismissed for 35 and the whole team folded for 205.
South Africa would have been feeling quite good about their bowling performance in the first innings, but they did not take into account the Indian bowling line up which looked fired up for the occasion. Zaheer Khan and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ishant-Sharma-c64566 looked in good rhythm
and moved the ball around to a great degree. Graeme Smith was caught behind for just 9 runs off Zaheer Khan. His opening partner, Petersen, was also cleaned up by Zaheer for just 24 runs.
It was down to the most consistent duo for South Africa of Hashim Amla and Jaque Kallis. The pair added just 21 before Kallis was unfortunately run out as he backed up on the non striker’s end and the ball took a deflection off the hand of Ishant Sharma
and went into the stumps. Next man in was http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AB-de-Villiers-c887 and he did not even manage to open his account. He got a good one from Sresanth and edged it to the keeper.
After the tea break, Ashwel Prince came out to bat but could only manage 13 before he edged one onto his stumps off Zaheer. The whole team folded for just 131 runs.
India started their 2nd innings in the final sessionfacing a fired up South African bowling attack. The innings started with a few boundaries, especially from the bat of Sehwag. But he played one shot too many and was caught behind off the bowling
of Tsotsobe for 32 runs. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rahul-c83321 Dravid, who pushed at one and edged it to the
keeper after making just 2 runs. Sachin Tendulkar was still the biggest scalp. Sachin was caught in the Gully as he tried to play an uppish drive.
At close of play India were at 92 for the loss of 4 wickets, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/VVS-Laxman-c2772 was at the crease alongside Pujara. The visitors lead by 166 runs and the match is evenly placed with 2 days played.
