South Africa’s David Miller enjoying his stint in IPL 5 – Cricket News Update
Kings XI Punjab’s middle-order batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/David-Lawson-Miller-c53037, is happy to be playing the fifth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and feels that franchise-cricket helps youngsters improve their skills.
The left-handed batsman from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 and since then he has played 16 One Day Internationals and eight T20s for his country. However, the 22-year-old cricketer has so far
failed to find a permanent spot in the national team.

played five matches in the current season and has scored 94 runs, including a couple of little cameos.
The cricketer from Natal might not have found a lot of opportunities to prove his worth in the cash-rich league, but like a budding young cricketer, Miller wants to learn in every situation. The hard-hitting batsman has no doubts
in his mind that playing international cricket is the ultimate dream of any cricketer but IPL is a nice tournament to enhance one’s skills.
“Playing for the national team remains everyone’s priority and I am no different. As your career unfolds, you look for opportunities and IPL was exactly what I was looking for. IPL has been a great opportunity for me. I was mostly
the 12th man in the last season but this year I got the chance and I think I’ve faired reasonably well,” said Miller.
Miller’s franchise is currently placed at number seven on the points table with 14 points after 13 fixtures. While talking about his team’s prospects in the tournament, Miller expressed that Punjab’s hopes are still alive and it will
give its best to qualify for the play-off stage of the event.
He added, “We did start slowly but have done reasonably well. It’s a long tournament so teams can make a comeback. We have won four of our last six matches and most of them were very close."
