Mickey Arthur stepped down as South Africa’s head coach following their drawn series against England this winter. At the time Arthur said: “Differences of approach on how to get the Proteas back to the top of world cricket have arisen between the Board of Cricket South Africa and me”. Does the Proteas win over India at Nagpur indicate the board were right in their thinking?

Maybe Arthur’s resignation might have been the spur South Africa needed here. But let’s see how they do in the second Test before passing judgement.
