South American German/Russians?

Question

It is my understanding that when Germans from russia immigrated, some came to Canada and many went to North Dakota and many went to South America. I am trying to find out of this is true. I am mostly interested in food and how the traditional German/Russian foods changed over the years. I would love to correspond with someone of German Russian decent whose ancestors ended up in South America

You can't go anywhere in my home state of North Dakota without running into it somewhere.  They have fleischkeuchle factory in Stanton, ND that ships it to all the little cafes and restaurants in the region.  Check out the link.  Though I have to mention that Marv Mutzenberger has no such title, I know this because he's my state and local pols teacher at Bismarck State College.  If you ate 47 of those you'd be dead of heart attack.

Yes, many Germans went to ND, some to SD. North and South Dakota, states of central northern USA.  

Ask the Treffpunkt Coordinator about Russians.  I am senior American.  My best estimate has many Russians immigrants going to Nebraska.  

Big Russian communities in NYC and California, more recent.

If you google 'Russian Cuisine'  or Russian Food Supplies that should connect you with NYC (New York City) Russians and maybe even your subject.

Sounds like you are in Canada.  I am Yankee, limited on Canada.

Very sure about Russians as farmers in Nebraska, though.  Try googling 'Nebraska Russian Easter Eggs'
