South Australia v Queensland – Ryobi One-Day Cup 2012/2013 (5th match) – Match Recap
An exceptional 6-wicket haul from young right-arm medium-pacer http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Phillip-Hughes-c2185, propelled South Australia to an easy 9-wicket win over Queensland in the 5th match of the ongoing Ryobi One-Day Cup, played at the Adelaide Oval on October 21.
South Australia won the toss and elected to field first, after which their bowlers launched a ferocious attack which limited the Bulls, all out, to 189. All four bowlers claimed at least one wicket each, while Player of the Match Richardson (11-1-48-6) starred, and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/J-Botha-c1610 (11.5-1-44-2) chipped in with a supporting performance.
Openers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chris-Hartley-c1243 (24) got the Bulls off to a steady start, setting up a 61-run foundation for their side. However, Richardson did not allow them to get too comfortable at the crease, and broke up the promising partnership in the 18th over, with the dismissal of Hartley.

Skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nathan-Michael-Lyon-c78822, and the latter by Daniel Worrall. Lower order batsman Bradley Ipson scored a valiant 33 in addition to setting up a 57-run stand for the 8th wicket with Burns, which got the team total up to 188 by the 48th over, after which Ipson was snapped up by Richardson as his 6th and final scalp of the day.
Skipper Botha dealt the final blows to the Bulls batting order, dismissing both http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Luke-Feldman-c1854 (0*) in the 49th over, to restrict Queensland, all out, to a final score of 189.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Michael-Klinger-c76093 (72) and Hughes (95*) got the team off to superb start with an opening stand of 138 runs – the partnership got the team on solid ground, and Klinger’s dismissal, lbw, at the hands of Hopes in the 25th over, did little to dent South Australia’s progress.
