South Dakota?

Question

We are going on a road trip to South Dakota.... is there anything that I need to pack that I probably haven't thought of? I have most of the obvious... flash lights, sunscreen, bug spray, stuff like that. Also, has anyone ever been there? Are there bugs?

ive been there b4 and it gets hot.

there are some bugs.  but it depends.

Make sure you have a jacket or sweatshirt, it's sometimes cool at night.  

As for bugs, they're worse this year than past years, but they're still not too bad.  You mostly have to watch out for mosquitos since many of them carry West Nile Virus.  As long as you wear your bug spray you should be fine.  The only other bugs we ever see are flies, bees, ants, grasshoppers, crickets, butterflies, ladybugs, spiders, and box elder bugs.
