South Korean national team coach Cho Kwang-Rae has come out in praise of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hertha-BSC-c39521. The two teams faced off on Saturday, August 13 at the Imtech Arena. Both the sides looked to
register their first points of the new season after slumping to defeats in their opening encounters. The match eventually ended all square at 2-2.
The South Korean coach hailed the efforts of his national team striker, who earned his side a lead on the 61st minute mark. Son had to miss out on his side’s opening day loss to Borussia Dortmund due to an untimely fever. The striker made the
best possible return to the team against Hertha BSC but was unfortunate to get a draw out of it.
The Korean was delighted with his strike but reckoned that his side could have won the game had they not conceded a late goal to the visitors. Son, at the same time, showed gratitude to his national team manager who called him especially to congratulate
on his goal.
Son had an outstanding pre-season with Hamburg where he scored 18 goals from just the ten games. The striker is highly expected to continue with his rich vein of form in the ongoing campaign. He mentioned that Hamburg had a golden opportunity to register
all three points had they not missed clear chances that came their way. The 19-year-old also reserved praise for Hertha, who played outstanding football away from home and never lost hope of getting back into the game.
While talking to a local news channel, Korean coach further added, “His goal was flawless. He will be even better if he learns to play with more aggressive ball touches and movement.”
Cho accepted the fact that Son hasn’t been given enough chances at the international level. He regarded it as his own mistake and promised to consider the teenager for future assignments.
Son has 14 league games under his belt so far for the Red Shorts, netting four goals in return. He made his South Korea debut in 2010 and has a solitary goal from five appearances so far.
