South Korea wins three titles in the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold 2011
South Korea wins three titles in different categories of the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold 2011, in Basel today. Korea grabbed the titles of men’s singles, men’s doubles and women’s doubles to prove its supremacy in the arena.  
In the final battle, Sung Hwan Park defeated the compatriot Lee Hyun Il, Kim Min Jung - Ha Jung Eun got rid of compatriots Kim Ha Na - Jung Kyung Eun, and Ko Sung Hyun - Yoo Yeon Seong proved their worth against team-mates Jung Jae Sung-Lee Yong Dae.
In the men’s singles, Park managed to win the final match against the experienced team-mate Lee Hyun after a hard fight of three sets. In the first set, the senior Korean played a wonderful game and grabbed the first set by a 21-17 margin. Park fought back
in the second game and levelled the match by winning the set with a huge margin of 21-9.
The score remained quite close and reached 15-15 as Park accelerated the speed by playing an attacking game and won the final set by a 21-17 difference. The concluding score of the title-match was 17-21, 21-9 and 21-17.
In the women’s doubles final, Kim Min - Ha Jung thrashed the team-mates Kim Ha - Kyung Eun in a one-side straight-set match. In the first set Kim Min - Ha Jung played wonderful game and won the set by a stunning difference of 21-12. The second set was almost
identical as the attacking pair won it by a 21-13 margin. The ending score was 21-12 and 21-13.
In the category of men’s doubles, Sung Hyun-Yoo Yeon defeated experienced team-mates Jae Sung-Lee Yong and successfully defended their title as they won for the first time in 2010. The defending champions delivered a superb performance in front of the packed
stadium and won the opening set with a decent margin of 21-17.
In the second set, Jae Sung-Lee Yong worked very hard to get back in the match, but failed as their opponents were playing at their best. The defending champions won the second set by a good margin of 21-16. The concluding score of the title-match was 21-17
and 21-16.
