  1. That's a big area:  Plymouth-Exeter A38 and south of it?

    Can you narrow it down?

Steam trains at Buckfastleigh, and the Dartmouth to Paignton line.

River cruises up from Dartmoth to Totnes.

The Babbacombe model village in Torquay

The minature pony centre, or is that too far north?

"Pickly Ball Farm " hedgehog hospital?

Butterflies and Otters at Buckfastleigh, (right by the steam trains...)

  2. There are lots of farms and sanctuaries.

Some other nice places for small children.

Dawlish Warren, great for flying kites! Some amusements there too.

    Trago Mills.

    Shaldon Zoo.

    Teignmouth Pier.

Dawlish and Teignmouth have activates on the greens a lot during the summer. The Pier in Teignmouth has great rides for small children plus along the front ther is a really impressive playground, completely free. Water fun there too so they'll need a costume.

Dawlish you can see the black swans on a river that leads down to the sea.

Woodlands is a theme park with stuff for little ones.

Paignton has a bigger zoo and it’s likely the fair will be there.

The Devon Railway to Buckfastleigh and see the butterflies and otters.

    Exeter has underground tunnels.

Powderham Castle will have some events and castles are fun anyway.

Even taking the railway along by Dawlish is great, because the train goes right near the sea.

The model village at babbacombe is breathtaking.

  3. Pennywell farm near newton abbott is fab for hands on my kids went there on school trip recently, they are 5 and 6. They had a great time. Also you might want to check out woodlands, dart adventure park, paignton zoo, and in bad weather which is always a possibility there is rainbow centre near torquay for inside fun and games pefect for under fives. I live in area and am always checking out places to ebtertain the kids. Brixham is fab for the pirate bucanner adventure on the old boat can't remember it's name tho!!

Good beaches are preston sands near paignton and a little furhter afield, slapton sands if you want a beach with gorgeous sand and no costly side attractions.

Also there is a fabuluos children's playground beside teignmouth beach perfedt for under fives lots of great reide and water play with no entrance fee. Happy to provide more advice on this if  you want to mail me direct deniseadvisoryteacher@yahoo.co.uk  Hope you have fab holiday you have picked a great area.
