South london question?

hi i will be at elephant and castle tube station and need to get to University College Hospital ....how far is it? how long will it take me...what is the best way to travel??

after i need to get from elepahnt and castle to oxford circus...and finally paddington stn............can i do all this on a zone 2 tube ticket??

Your best bet is to head over to the Transport for London website and have a look at the online Tube map:

The best stop for University College Hospital is Warren Street, though you could also get off at Goodge Street, or Euston and walk. Since you're coming from Elephant and Castle, just take the Northern (black) line all the way up to Warren Street. (You'll have to go one stop over to Kennington first and then change.) Alternatively, get the Bakerloo (brown) line to Embankment, and change to the Northern line there (getting off at Warren Street.)

As for getting from Elephant and Castle to Oxford Circus, you can do that in a straight shot on the Bakerloo line. From Oxford Circus, just hop on the Bakerloo line again and take it all the way up to Paddington. (Basically, the Bakerloo line is your friend at this point!)

If you're making all those journeys in one day, the best thing to do would be to buy a one-day Travelcard; then you can hop on and off as many times as you like (in zones 1-6) just using that one ticket. It'll be a lot more expensive if you keep buying individual tickets (and yes, each individual ticket is only good for one ride.)

Yes you can do it all on Zone 1/2 travel card. Warren St is the right one for UCH (Northern Line from E&C) and Bakerloo Line is the one you need to Paddington/Oxford Circus
