Many of the Southern states were settle by the French immigrants that were run out of Nova Scotia, they were not welcome in the states and, kept heading South, they settled Louisiana and these states to become the Creoles.

      The Scottish immigrants were also not welcome in the States and wandered into the hills of Appalachia becoming, the mountain people.
