Southampton, Bath and Nottingham: Which city is best for a student and which one is cheapest?

I was accepted to a Msc programme and I'm trying to choose between universities - and cities. Cost of living, public transportation, cultural activities and safety are the most important factors for me.

I would choose Bath over Southampton over Nottingham.  I would never go to Nottingham.
