Southern Albertans - do you remember skating outdoors?

I remember NEVER getting to skate outdoors thanks to endless Chinooks after I was about 6 or 7 (in the late 70's). That sucked because the only skating available was in town. And being on the farm I never got to go, so my town friends all knew how to skate and I still can't skate at 36 years old.

Yes, but it was a long time ago.  I'm still a lousy skater, but it was still a lot of fun.
