Southern California: Feel The Earthquake? Tell your stories?

I was in Huntington Beach on my bed using my computer. All of a sudden everything started shaking. I got off the bed and went to my door post and watched my room wobble like Jello. I was scared. There might be an aftershock. A big aftershock.

well i live in las vegas and i was walking home with my boyfriend and the ground was hsaking a little bit and i thought nothing of it. then i came home and we were gonna watch a movie and we saw that there was an earthquakeee. hope you guys areeee all okayyy! =]

and i was writing an email and all of a sudden it just started shaking like crazYY!! and my lil sister just ran under the table and my first thought was GOD??! hahaha i was freaken out but cracking up at teh same time if you know what i mean..

i heard there is going to be a after shock too...i was in my bed lying down still to sleepy to get up and when i felt it i ran as fast as i could from my bed to the living room and saw everything shaking...freakin hate earthquakes haha

I am in Placentia, California (near Yorba Linda)

and I was taking a shower, lol.

And I have glass doors in the shower

and the next thing I know the glass doors start to SHAKE!!

and im like WTF???

did someone crash a car into the house (thats what it felt like)

and the next thing i know is im grabbing a towel and then im

out the dooor!!

i had noooooo clue what to do! i am home alone to make things worse lol. so i was effing scared! and i ran downstairs and I grabbed my Parrot (who was freaking out) and i ran in the backyard! (i couldnt go in the front b/c i was half naked lol)

I was in my office, then my laptop screen started shaking. i thought a big rig went by because the ground always shakes but not for that long. We had to evacute the office building.

I'm affraid of the aftershock.

EEkk, it started with a deep rumbling. My brother and I was in the computer room, when the rumbling started and the house started shaking, at fist, we thought it was just a really big truck. Good thing we weren't up stairs. Then my grandma srieked' EARTHQUAKE!' We ran to the vacant place behind my backyard. (there's a door leading there.  The vacant place was where more contruction for more houses was going to take place,) And wow. it was scary. that's all I can say.

OMG YEAH DUDE I WAS SLEEPING ON THE COUCH THEN THE SECOND THE EARTH QUAKE STARTED I FELL OUT OF BED AND LIKE STOOD UP AND THE GROUND WAS SHAKING THEN I TRIPPED AND HIT MY ******** HEAD ON THE TABLE AND THEN STOOD UP!! At work, 2nd floor. I thought someone was walking heavily and then realized it was an earthquake.  I work at an RV dealer and the RV's were rocking and the light fixtures were swaying pretty good!  

I still can't catch my breath!!  Kids/family ok. I'm about 7 miles from Chino.

I was sitting on our lounge chair/ottoman thing with a laptop (as I am right now). I was listening to "from this moment on" by Shania Twain, and I felt the house jerk, but I thought it could have been the guys who keep coming over to fix the roof. But it just kept shaking! The fans and the chandelier were wobbling, and one of my mom's Shelia houses (little wooden things) fell on the floor and broke. My dad ran out of his office, and we all took cover in door ways. Later I went into my room to find my cat curled up on my dresser, and his tail was all puffed up & his eyes were HUGE!

I was watching tv when suddenly I felt shaking. I thought it was the ppl downstairs in their room playing or something until I felt the hard shaking then I knew it was for real! lol. I blew out my candle before anything could fall on it and went to my mom to see if she was okay. I was pretty calm, surprisingly! :D

I was just stepping out of my car with the garage door open when everything shook.  I was frozen until the tremor subsided, closed the garage then went inside.  I prayed a bit.  I never get used to this, but who does.  I'm very close to the epicenter.

Then my whole bed started shaking violently.

I live in a condo that is 2 story (upstairs loft) so it's skinny and tall.  It scared me soooo bad.  It was like entire condo was just swerving back and forth and back and forth.  I could actually see it doing this.......weird!

No but my aunt who lives down by LA felt it ! she just called us and she was inside the Mervin's building and it shook the whole building. I live in the central part of California around the central valley and we didn't feel it.. most of the time we just get the little after shocks... do you know how big it was? where was it located??

i was on my laptop on myspace youtube and yahoo and then it felt like i was on a ship rocking back and forth...it was awesome but my arms are shaking lol

I live in a two story house, and it doesn't shake too easily, but this time it was crazy!

I was in my bed and the shelfs and everything started wobbling and shaking.

When it calmed down I ran to my big brothers room and he burst through his door screaming my name because he was afraid I got hurt.

Then my older big brother came upstairs carrying our cat and pretending to cry to lighten the moment.

Well I was sleeping and my brother came running into my room and woke me up. Then we went under the door. And we put pillows over our heads after the earthquake just in case of an aftershock.

My story is...

I was playing Call of Duty. I was on a roll! And because of the earthquake my whole computer table shook and I got KILLED! I had like 20 kills in a row. This sucks!
