  1. The cheapest time to get cruise prices is when the kids are in school. In other words, if you want a good price, don't go in the summer, spring break, or Christmas time. If you are flexible, you can get that cruise for 399 - 450 for an inside cabin pp. I just took that cruise on July 3rd. If you like to snorkel, St. Thomas has the best snorkeling I have ever done, and the most beautiful fish, turtles, stingrays and very cool looking baracuda. Good luck and have a great time.

  2. The best prices that I have found overall are from  www.cruisequick.com.

HOWEVER they do not hold your hand. What I mean is that you need to know what cruise you want, what ship, date and category. You cannot call them, they do not answer a phone.

They are internet based only, completely legitimate, and offer a bonus or discount that most other agents don't offer.

They work on a flat fee profit and are completely automated.

    They do answer emails promptly.

Their site explains how they work. I have used them for years, without any problems.  They offer free price quotes via email that include all port fees, taxes etc.

    Happy Cruising !

  3. im not too sure if the price will keep dropping, but the lowest price would be on this site:

    vacationstogo.com

it is an excellent site, and it should be very helpful to you

    hope this helps! = ]

  4. Price will more than likely go up, but if you book a one price and then you realize the rate went down, just give the cruise company a call and they will usually reduce your price or give you some kind of shipboard credit. Or you could also work with a travel agent.

  5. Prices go up and down constantly on cruises.  If you are just booking an inside cabin - I would wait until about 2 weeks before the cruise- prices will be way down by then.  Last minute deals are always the best.

  6. Once you know what cruise you want to go on, book it.  If the price goes up then you keep the old lower price.  If the price goes down before your final payment is due then you just ask for the new lower price.

I booked a cruise on the Serenade of the Seas for April 2008.  Though final payment is not due yet, I have already paid for this cruise in full.  Recently there was a price drop.  I received a refund of $260 (that is more than 10% of the total cruise price).

So, my advise is, book now.  If the price continues to go up you will have booked at the lowest possible price (since you cannot book at the prior lower price).  If the price goes down, you just ask for the new lower price.  I have done this many times on at least three different cruises.

  7. Prices are set by the cruise line and they can do anything they want.  Cruises usualyl go up the closer you get to the sailing date because the demand is higher and people will pay more.  Sometimes however the price will go down if the ship isnt fillign as much as they want.  What i do is go to a travel agent and book early (im already booked for may 22, 2008).  What they do is keep checking on the crusie to see if the price goes down, if it does than they cancel one reservation and redo it at the lower price.  Cruise lines will often do this, but you would have to ask.  Travel agents are the best at that.  I've noticed that the prices seem to be going up in the first few days of the month, so book early and keep checking back to see if there are better prices, then you can simply rebook.  Chances are they will continue to rise until last minute deals if any at all.......
