Hey All, I'm looking for a place to shot a 3 minute "save the date" video for my upcoming wedding and I'm looking for a place somewhere in southern florida that has a southern farm feel to it. Farms, fields, cows the whole nine yards. I don't know of any large Red barns in my neighboorhood and I can't go back to West Virginia for this one. So if anyone could help me out I would appricate it.

Thanks! Ellie

  1. Ellie - we live in Coral gables and have traveled throughout the state.  Your best bet would be to go somewhere west of Juno, around Lake O, on the western side, where the sugar cane fields are.  There are plenty of small, rural looking towns there, with barns, horses, etc.  We've always commented that it made us feel a little like driving to Snowshoe (without the mtns - of course) from our old home in DC.  Hope this helps. If you are near Miami Dade, you could also go to "Robert is Here", the grocery/outdoor market south of Florida City near the Krome prisions, on the road to the Everglades.  It'd be VERY rural and farm-y.  good luck, and Happy wedding.
