Southwell racecourse new years day?

hi , anybody been to southwell races as i'm going new years day & have never been before.

i have been many times,i was lucky to train winners there both on the flat and over the fences when they 1st had jump racing on the all weather surface.my advice would be to get there early to beat traffic and bag a good spot in the stands.i found the food to be excellent and the racing exciting.enjoy it because it is a great day out.on one occasion my hose won the best turned out award,inthe summer,very hot and we got a crate of beer! the horse was favourite and tim pinfield who is now raining in america was riding.the horse refused to start so we sat on the ramp of the lorry,drank the beer and laughed about it.the horse seemed to cheer up and started his next race and won!!
