I have a niece going on southwest airlines by herself this summer. She's only 12. Will the southwest airline attendants get worried about her being on the flight by herself? She's taken this airline before, and now she's going on it again, but by herself. No adults with her.

  1. here is the info you are looking for, its through northwest, a partner of southwest.

  2. Usually the flight attendants will give her proper care and treat her very well. They would have to get her off the plane safely and get her to where she should be next. At least that is how JetBlue does it. Email me for more information

  3. # Youth:

    from the southwest website

        * Youth who are at least 12 years of age but who have not reached their 22nd birthday can fly to any of our cities, any time of the day or night, at the applicable Youth Fare.

        * Proof of age will be required at time of travel.

        * Online checkin is available if the youth is traveling on a Youth Fare and is age verified.

  4. Most airlines have schemes for unaccompanied minors.  If she behaves like a young lady she'll have no worries, and I'm sure the flight attendants will have no concerns.
