do twelve year olds flying on southwest airlines have to show a birth certificate or anything else??? what r they supposed to bring except luggage???

  1. I've never had to! I just showed my school ID (since I had it; either that, or the adult with me had to show their ID). All they should need is their boarding stuff (boarding documents or tickets), and they would be good to go. Nevertheless, you can call Southwest's "gates" at your airport to find out for sure.


  2. your parents can actually show their id if you don't have your own. all you need is their id to get into security.

I used to fly southwest when I was younger.  I never had to show a birth certificate but under a certain age they make you where a badge.  It just identifies that you are flying without an adult.  You have to sit towards the front of the plane, but you are usually first on and first off, because you are accompanied by an attendant.  I think 12 is the age you are considered an adult though.   5. I am pretty sure, airports will not let you through now, unless you have some sort of a government identififcation proving that it is you who's travelling whether your traveling alone or with your parents.
