Southwest Airlines - "Fees don't fly with us"?

Has anyone heard this slogan yet? I live near Denver, so I hear a lot about Southwest, and during a Rockies game on TV, the announcers had to say that the game was brought to you by Southwest airlines and then they said that slogan... The only problem was, whenever I hear it, it sounds like "Southwest Airlines, please don't fly with us!"

  1. It's an ad to get you to fly with them, and not another airline... "Fees don't fly with us" is referring to the increasing amount of ridiculous fees, like a fee for checking baggage, having to pay for the once-complimentary soda and pretzels, etc.

So what they're really saying is "we don't like fees either". I heard there was an ad with a flight attendant reading off a list of optional fees, like a drink fee, toilet fee, etc. I wish I saw that for myself. XD

    Edit: Found it! Actually two:

  2. That's really funny.  I bet Southwest didn't count on that!

(Could also be heard as "Fleas don't fly with us.")

I'm sure they put the slogan in front of tons of focus groups before they decided to go with it, too.   Unfortunately, sometimes one slips through the cracks.
