Souvenirs for kids from Seattle?

I will visit my family in Germany soon and I'm trying to come up with a little Souvenir idea, from Seattle, for my friends two girls (5 and 2 years). It can't be too big or heavy since I only have limited space in my luggage!

  1. T shirts are good,  A small replica of the Seattle needle whatever it is called, most souvenir places have small purses or hair bows with their state logos on it. picture books of Seattle, hats, I am sure that they would appreciate anything.

  2. They have all kinds of cool stuff at the gift shop below the Space Needle.  They have some neat toys, cups, sweatshirts. etc.

  3. I will bet you some smoked salmon would be a treat. The Made in Washington stores have lots of gift items that are manufactured in this region.

  4. I would try the gift shops down on the waterfront.  Not only do they have a variety of gifts to choose from, they tend to be relatively cheap.  Simply Seattle (next to Argosy Cruises) and Pirates Plunder are my personal favorites.  Then again, some Mexican Jumping Beans from Ye Olde Curiosity Shop might impress the 5 year old!
