Light weight things are best as I'm from Australia and luggage weight is a major concern

  1. Depends on the individual teenagers likes.my daughter just got back home from Ireland last week and she bought some of her friends t-shirts,most of the t-shirts cost 9 Euro, she also bought some of her friends books on Irish tales for some of her friends that like to read, most of the books cost 10 Euro and she also bought some of her friends Celtic pendents which cost around 7 to 10 Euros each and she bought every one in her class key rings, which she got for 2 Euro each.

I hope I was of some help.Take care.

  2. Irish flags!!Umbrellas(JOKE) !!!A t -shirt saying "kiss me im irish" !!!!

  3. Some nice celtic jewellery would fit the bill and be quite light to pack in suitcase too. Something with a celtic design - a ring or chain.  Claddagh rings are always nice and come in loads of different designs now.

Inis is a nice Irish perfume which isn't too expensive.

Chocolate is always a hit! Keyrings are useful (although, admittedly can look a little tacky when taken home :)).  An Irish diary - Easons may do them?

  4. Please don't go down the leprechaun route!

You can get some nice tee shirts. Some guinness souvenirs, e.g. napkins. Also Irish linen is a great souvenir but expensive.  There are also some brands of Irish perfume and perfumed soap which you would get in the airport.  Some nice books (thin ones) and notelet cards in the museum shops.

    Good luck.

  5. The best gifts that I brought back from Ireland were scarves made from Irish wool.  Everybody loved them.  But, since you are from Australia, I am guessing your friends do not have much of a need for wool scarves.  But try and find something like that.  Something handmade out of Irish materials.  Although, in a pinch, T-shirts are always good.  Oh, I also got a small purse while I was over there that I just love, it is small and handmade.  Look for something like that.  Women always love purses!  Dublin is full of great little shops, but avoid the ones that are full of the normal tourist things, shot glasses, shamrocks, etc.  Make sure you hit the ones by Trinity college.  Galway had tons of great little shops too!

  6. I suggest you don't buy any stereotype leprechaun souvenirs. Buy something you would,nt find In Australia.

  7. if in dublin head to the celtic note a music store near trinity university they have lots of types of irish music ranging fromtraditional to pop to alternative i advise for teenagers albums from bell x1 or the frames or even compilations they re really amazing.  female friends the same.  possibly a dvd from tommy tienan an irish comedian.  tshirts can be a bit tacky

  8. Irish linen
