Sovereign Street looking to carry winning form in Talk To Victor Handicap
Sovereign Street has been enjoying a wonderful run in recent times and she will be looking to carry her winning form into the Talk To Victor Handicap at Ayr in England on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. She has not done well under normal circumstances, but the
heavy track conditions will definitely suit her in the 5 furlong event.
The class-3 race is scheduled to start at 15:40 GMT and it has attracted a total of eight runners. They will be fighting for a cash prize of £7,022. Some of them might not enter the event, as there is a chance of getting injured on a rain affected track.
However, there is no doubt over the participation of Sovereign Street, as she does not have any issues with these conditions. She has got a very good record and her team will be hoping that the sun stays away from Ayr for today. This will give her a competitive
edge over the remaining challengers.
The young filly has been given a general starting price of 2 to 1 and the punters will most definitely be interested in risking a few bets on her. They have a chance of winning some easy money at the end of the day, but need to consider a couple of other
options as well.
One of those options could be Arctic Feeling, as he did well in his penultimate outing at Ayr. The track was heavy, but that did not trouble him much and he finished as a runner up in the end.
However, the four-year-old gelding failed to deliver a strong result in his very next race under similar circumstances, which will not encourage the punters to gamble on him.
On the other hand, Sovereign Street has got a decent record and she has been performing with consistency since the start of her career. She debuted in 2010, but was unable to win any event that year.
The next season was a touch disappointing for the Ann Duffield’s trainee, but she trained hard and did a fabulous job in 2012. She has appeared in five races this year, winning three of them whereas finished as a runner up in the remaining two. It will be
difficult for her opponents to prevent her from taking the top spot, especially under a seasoned jockey like, P. J. McDonald.
