Soviet Josie, a hopeful entry for the Coral On TV b*****s Trophy – Heat 1 on 27th February
The Coral On TV b*****s Trophy – Heat 1, an open race will be held on Monday, 27th February at Romford. The 400 metres flat race has the £150 prize money for the winner.
Among the six competing, one of the most accomplished hounds is Soviet Josie, Premier Fantasy’s two-year-old black and white daughter out of b***h Invincible Diva. After settling into the third and sixth position in the first two races of the new season,
she maintained her record with taking up the runner up’s position in her last three outings.
On 15th February, Soviet Josie was the 9/4 favourite for the S1 575M Flat race held at Romford. She had to forgo victory by two and a half lengths and covered the distance in 35.83 seconds. The winner of the race was Redhot Ruby.
Before this, Soviet Josie was entered as a 9/4 favourite on 20th January in the Coral.Co.UK Maidens at Romford. She finished the race third in line after the winner.
Soviet Josie’s most recent attempt was in the Gala Coral Maiden on 19th February at Hove. She took onto the runner up’s position against the 9/4 joint favourite winner Britania Joan while the other joint favourite, New Boss, finished fourth.
Soviet Josie is yet to claim her new season’s victory and today just might be her lucky day to achieve what she has been trying since the last five starts.
Another worthwhile entry for the race today is Dods Little Gem, Dods Delight’s two-year-old blue and brindle daughter out of b***h Castle Barns. She too has not been successful in recording a victory for the new season yet despite the six times that she
has ventured out already.
On 3rd February, Dods Little Gem was sent as a 2/1 joint favourite in the Grade A3 415 metre flat race at Harlow. She came third after the winner Heeldorunrun and the runner up Volcanic Dust.
The only second position that she managed through the new season was on 17th February in the London Road Maidens at Romford. This she accomplished against the 3/1 favourite, Murlens Murcia, who concluded the race third behind the winner.
Today will count as her seventh outing during the new season and if she takes on the chance to post a victory or not will unfold soon.
