did the soviets use laser weapons against the enemy in afghanistan? according to http://www.dia.mil/history/art/series_two.html theres a picture there and its quoted "The Soviets continued a large, well-funded program to develop tactical laser weapons in the 1980s. There were reports that the USSR employed mobile laser platforms in Afghanistan against personnel, unprotected targets, and sensors.
" i tried searching in google for any laser weps used in war but didnt find anything. were they used and what weapons and i dont mean weapons like laser guided bombs but a weapon similar to the one shown in the picture.
