whats the benefit of drinking soy milk instead of regular two percent milk?

  1. 2% milk is not good for you. Whole milk is 3.5%, so you see that 2% is not so low fat after all. Soy milk is actually healthy, though the taste is hard to get used to.

    Cow milk is only healthy for baby cows and VERY young humans. Try to think of another mammal that consumes milk after it has passed childhood...


  2. Why would you want anything from soy or based? It is cancer causing substance . You should have a1 or a2 milk.

  4. I believe I've heard that Soy Milk is healthier for you. I'm not sure, but I've heard people say that before.

    why would any one use cow stuff? antibiotics, blood, puss, disease,chemicals, pesticides,etc...gross

I am not a big fan of drinking carcinogens, trypsin inhibitors and thyroid suppressants and I am not dumb enough to fall for the big pro soy marketing lobby driven by the soy industry players.   7. Soy milk has no cholesterol but cow's milk does. Soy milk is easier for the stomach to digest. It is also smooth. And taste great too.

  8. well, soy milk for one is made of vegetable proteins, so there is less loss of calcium thru the kidneys, it reduces cholesterol,  theres no hormones, and it contains isoflavones which help lower cholesterol, reduce menopause symptoms and help to prevent osteoporosis.

  10. I love soy it tastes great and beside it  is much better for you then milk which has lots of fat in it. they put the same vitamins that are in milk into soy milk so SOY MILK ALL THE WAY

  12. no cholestrol and very low fat.  soy products (including soy milk) are also very good during your mentural cycle, if you don't belive me ask your doctor!  

    if you are looking for non-dairy alternatives, try almond milk and rice milk too.  rice milk has less of a distinct flavour to soy milk, but if the taste of soy really bothers you you can get sweetened and flavoured versions.

  13. it's weird to drink cow's milk....humans drink their mother's milk to have a huge growth spurt, and gain weight....the same reason baby cows drink their mother's milk, but their weight gain is much larger...so, it's fatty obviously.  

    Plus cows are only meant to produce about 16 pounds of milk a day, enough to feed their calf, but farmers inject them with hormones and other weird c**p so they produce 50 pounds a day.

    Umm, and it just creeps me out to think about it.

    BUT, I am guilty of eating milk products :( they're just so good,  I just can't use cow's milk in cereal and stuff, or to drink, but I haven't yet weaned myself of its products (which are actually addictive because of casein)

    Silk Vanilla soy milk is delicious, so is the chocolate

  15. I prefer rice milk over the 2 but there is a chart on he back of some soy milk containers that shows the comparison of the 2. From what I remember it said soy milk has more calcium and Vitamin A. I had more protein too I believe. But next time you go shopping look for the soy milk that has that chart and see for yourself.

    Better source of nutrients.

    No cholesterol and low in fat.

    Easier for humans to digest since it contains no lactose or milk proteins.

    It taste a million times better.

    It most likely is cheaper.

    Soybeans/milk if not allergic or overly consumed have been known to help with cancer and other health problems, and is considered a superfood.

    You are not drinking an animal product.

    You are not drinking pus, blood, f***s, or hormone infested milk.

    You are not contributing to cruelty.

    You are no contributing to veal.

  18. Soy milk is high in protein, and because it is made from beans, also contains considerably more fiber than cow's milk.

    Soy milk isn't fat-free, though some people think it is..

    Soy milk does have a bit more fat than 2% cow's milk, but none of the nasty cholesterol

    The largest downfall of soy milk is the lack of calcium.
