Space problems

Question

I have a Delstar DS 917 and I am very disappointed with the player. When I try to sync music onto the player it only says that there is only 17 mb on the 1 GB player and I dont have anything (pic's, music, or video) on it. It must something else that is taking up so much space but I dont know what. Please help!
