Space saving recycling tips?

Question

We need great tips for recycling bins for paper mostly and some plastic bottles. My son brings home at least a paper box full of paper from school each week. We try to reuse it best we can but there is so much of it. Also some ideas of where to put it. We have very little space.

I have a large wicker laundry basket in living room for the papers.  Plastic, cans and bottles are in bins right next to back door.  We take our items to the center weekly, I cannot store them any longer than that.
