  1. They are not too bad, they just take a while. As far as spacers are concerned, ibuprofen is key.

  2. Impressions can be scary, especially if you have never had one. I work for an orthodontist and I take impressions daily. Here are a couple of tips, make sure to stay calm and breath through your nose, that is very important!! You also want to make sure to keep your mouth open. Ask the assistant taking the impression to talk you through it step by step. Make sure to tell them you are a little nervous because we have all kinds of tricks up our sleeves to make the process as easy as we possibly can for you! You will do great!

  3. impessions arnt that scary, they have pleasent tatse and smell now (but dont eat lol), just may be cause some feeling of gag if the tray is too full, just notify ur dentist not to over fill the tray with the impression paste

  4. yay! lol i get spacers on thrusday.

i was super scared about impressions, too.

but they are not bad AT ALL.

they are rly chunky and i tasted a little but its not that bad.

i just kept my tongue away cuz everyone told me impressions suck! and they lied to me, LOL.

    good luck!!

  5. I have spacers right now and my braces come tomorrow. I have had my spacers for two weeks and to be honest...it hurts. But it most likely differs between patients. Mine hurt to the point where I could cry and it took me a long time to eat. You get used to it though after a few days and you forget they are even there. The process of  putting them in was painful, but you might think otherwise. Just breathe and relax because it will all be successful in the long run, especially if you take care of your teeth!

  6. impressions aren't bad as long as you dont have a bad gag reflex. just breath through your nose!

as for the spacers, the day after they can be pretty painful since they're moving your teeth around so take some advil and stick to liquids for a few days!

    good luck!
